WeightLoss Exercises: Decline Cable Pullovers
Decline Cable Pullovers
What exercise does:
Cable pullovers are one of the best all around and technique sound exercises I know of. Its unfortunate that they are not used more often.
Implementation: (A)
Start the exercise by laying back on a decline bench that is positioned so that your head is right next to the low cable pulley. You should attach a triceps rope to the machine. Using the triceps rope, allow your arms to stretch backwards only as far as the lats are still engaged. Make sure your hands are over the pulley. (B) Initiate movement by flexing the lats and performing a "soft elbow" straight arm pullover. Practice this movement before your working sets to realize when the cable creases your forehead. This would be a good time to stop the movement. (C) Return the weight by reversing the pattern slowly to the next starting position.
